Our research suggests that England, Scotland, and Wales experienced an economic cost due to Brexit. But there is one place that is so far unaffected by Brexit: Northern Ireland. Why? Well, effectively because it continued from membership in the Customs Union with the European Union and Great
Britain. Moreover, our analysis highlights the significant trade diversion via Ireland, benefiting the border areas between Northern Ireland and Ireland. This finding has interesting implications for the future of the region.
I can't quite work out whether your methodology accounts for other possible explanations, such as the greater share of the civil service in the Northern Ireland economy, possibly combined with the periodic absence of political leadership in the province for years on end.
May i complain that there's a lack of clarity is using the dotted line for actual and the solid line for the theoretical?
