Yes, you’re right about the sunny part, for sure. Connery does look so cool walking around on Jamaican jetties in his beautiful suit. It must have looked amazing at the time. And now it looks fresh for a different reason: actually outdoors, not greenscreened.

I'd forgotten about that. And the BBC won't let me watch that clip from Ireland. Good old geoblocking. I guess the big difference is that they weren't dancing Bollywood steps, but a salsa.

Yes, that seems to be a heavy influence on James Bond's suits, at least. But we were specifically looking for British films -- to see if it was a break from what came before, you know yourself.

ITV need to stop using the trailer for Big Brother with the guinea pigs. What they're doing there is advertising a concept for a programme which is fundamentally superior to the one they're actually making.
