Photographer Kristie Kohn says "While I was trying to photograph the Northern Lights in the wee hours of the morning, my cat decided to photobomb the picture. Since I had the camera’s shutter speed maxed out, it ended up leaving a sort of ghostly image of my cat in the photo."

Photographer Kristie Kohn's 2024 aurora photo was photobombed by a ghostly image of her cat. The photo shows stars, above red and then bright green aurora, and the cat shadow, looking right, is in the bottom third of the photo, with the aurora appearing to go right through her

Is Carter Burke in Aliens (1986) the earliest recorded example of a gilet-clad finance bro?

Tom Wambsgans in Succession, wearing a shirt and a gilet.

We were just watching Dr No last night, and wondering were there British spy films before it that dealt with cold war themes? What sits between Bond and the Second World War?

ITV need to stop using the trailer for Big Brother with the guinea pigs. What they're doing there is advertising a concept for a programme which is fundamentally superior to the one they're actually making.

Several guinea pigs sat on a Diary Room chair.

Claude saying “main character energy” is about as natural as when that dude from Leeds museum says it. #strictly

I went to the cinema. As I was leaving, a woman who'd been sat at the other end of the aisle asked if I'd enjoyed the film. We got chatting. In the space of time it takes to exit a cinema, she covered the following points.

1. She pissed herself during the film
2. It's ok though cos she's wearing a pad
3. She's on a Tinder date (the guy was there)
4. She's been barred from this cinema 4 times
5. One time was for sliding down the stairs on a child's booster seat
6. Another time for was attempting to steal a painting from the foyer wall
7. This was justified as it was painted by her brother
8. The cinema have subsequently relocated the painting to a higher spot (she pointed it out to me)
9. She had her hen do on her own because she went to the wrong place
10. The film was predictable and it's a bit dull that the good guys won
11. She thinks it would be cool to be murdered
12. It would be best if it was a serial killer rather than a one-off murderer

I’m sorry, but when I look at JB all I can think is “turkey farmer”. #strictly
