$3B for a hospital covering almost half the south island? no, no, unacceptable, impossible, financially irresponsible. $10B for a tunnel speeding up the trip from Wellington airport by 15 minutes? now that's just sound financial planning
Also, like, where does this time come from, because it's barely a 15 minute drive from town in normal traffic. It would only be possible to take that much time off the trip if it was slow moving peak traffic, and infrastructure should NOT be built just to accommodate peak traffic, it's too wasteful.
There's lots of flat empty space next to the Wellington Airport, why don't they just build a new city centre there?
I don’t know a single Wellingtonian who wants the tunnel,but I know many, many Wellingtonians who want Dunedin to have the hospital they need and deserve.
