Two years ago, I would have said that they'd never redeem themselves for me personally, but they might be able to turn it around for people who remain. Now? I don't see how they can do anything but limp along. No forums, no merch-- just a website that doesn't work. They provide nothing unique to us.
Also like, if you haven't been following the #nanowrimo stuff and you think "this is a very promising statement!" you should know that there are straight up lies in there lol. Their volunteer program has essentially been scrapped, YWP is not coming back, and "staffing changes" was everyone quitting
Did I know who Chuck Tingle was prior to the whole Sad Puppies / Hugo mess? Yes I did. Was I aware that Chuck Tingle would refuse to back down from the scandal? No, I was not. Chuck refused to let other people use him as a prop, insisted on lifting up others, and we love him for it.
