People who claim private companies are more efficient than the government have never tried to talk to their insurance company

Efficiency is directly proportional to the amount of employees. Government has too few, while private companies have more. There are 60K people employed by Social Security to service 70M customers. That's one employee per 1100 customers.

For those who need to hear this: mentally ill folks are fully capable of doing brave, heroic, caring, loving acts. Having a psychiatric disability doesn’t necessarily prevent you from being in solidarity with other human beings. Also, it’s fucked up to assume you know someone’s mental state.

Yes, they are capable of being heroic. The problem is how they arrived & executed their decisions with impaired judgements.
