This is one that I genuinely think will be printed in history books one day to show how insane American media culture became. CBS News presenting ethnic cleansing as a housing policy to be compared with home construction tax incentives.
All those cheap houses in the middle of nowhere with no infrastructure and nearby jobs are a great idea. If you’re counting on getting some kickbacks from the boondoggle and also destroying a lot of pristine land that is a national treasure.
Rather than holding fast to the norms and holding Trump accountable for violating them, the media has increasingly let Trump warp their sense of what's normal and lower the standards across the board. It's pathetic.

Celebrate Mother’s Day by supporting people’s right to choose whether or not to be mothers.
Why do the world’s most fortunate people pay among the least in taxes, relative to the amount of money they make? www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
Billionaires are experts at avoiding taxes. By banding together, countries can make them pay up.
The way these assholes have normalized Trump's insane fascism is infuriating. It's like reading "Stalin explains his plan to starve all Ukrainians" as if it were just a routine policy.
You don't get to say 'we regret that the protesters escalated' and 'community safety is our top priority' when the protesters are students who haven't hurt anybody and your response was calling in, like, a hundred unaccountable guys with guns
It’s pretty revealing that the press haven’t defended the students of *Columbia University* more vigorously. It’s the best journalism school in the English-speaking world. It gives out the Pulitzers. It has a legendarily good student body and faculty, the vast majority of whom oppose this.
