Yeah I’m really confused whenever people talk about wired headphones as if they’re a dead technology. The Hifi market is alive and well, largely still wired, and not as expensive as people think. You can still choose to go that way.

It's about smartphones eliminating headphone jacks.

Probably the iPhone fans: Apple did away with the headphone jack a while back.
