From a distance the repeating pattern is hypnotic. As you get closer you start to sense the movement. Something large sweeps across the light in a gentle slipping curve. Something long and thin, like a tentacle. #amwriting
Windmills in daylight, up close, move quickly and separately at first. Then slow down and synchronize. Almost freezing. At night, their red lights warn pilots of the physical obstacle. But the light doesn't always illuminate the blades. The lights shine, an eerie glare, that abruptly shuts off.

Sept 30, as the last gleaming rays of sun fade in the warm afternoon, I add more cheerful touches to my Latine diaspora space story. Oct 1: the body, which had once resembled a dog, now twitched with a locomotion abhorrent from it's former muscular form. It howled.

Never think that whatever unhinged things you want to put into your story are "too much". Look up news events for this week, starting on September 15. Double down on your plot. Out do *gestures at everything*. Chew reality to pieces and regurgitate the rest into your story.
