This might sound like I’m joking, but I’m not. Currently the frontend works by proxying calls to the API, and doing goofy cookie rewrite shit. I’m working on making it get a JWT for you on login, exchange that for an OAuth2 token, then encrypt and write that token as the frontend cookie.

the same thing that makes eating food or fucking pleasurable makes raising children pleasurable. it is a direct evolutionary reward from the deepest layers of your brain for undertaking the burden of creating progeny.

i interact quite frequently with people who seem to think that deriving joy from bringing a human into the world and introducing them to it is some kind of deeply selfish scam, when it is in fact the singular most rewarding experience i've ever gotten to partake in.
