I'll have to give that a try. Admittedly, I haven't been using the lock-on too often in general since I find that to be pretty finicky as well.
You know, I'm really glad that you don't take damage from falling into pits in Echoes of Wisdom. I've accidentally yeeted myself into the void more times than I care to admit.
As it is I end up avoiding a lot of enemies because I find the combat awkward. That's the only real weak spot the of the game though, so far.
I think the game would work just as well if you had a normal sword attack alongside the echoes. Some enemies could've been tougher without echoes to balance it so you don't ignore the mechanic altogether.
I like using echoes in combat, but I'd rather they be an additional element of your kit rather than your main source of damage, especially since enemy echoes are rock stupid sometimes and will just stand there while the actual enemies kill them.
Yeah, you've got swordfighter form but that's limited and they aren't expecting you to use that all the time.
Really enjoying Echoes of Wisdom for the most part, but my big worry when they announced the game is definitely bothering me, and that's not having a regular attack for fighting enemies.
I did not finish it, but got very close to done with the voice over
Editing time again, let's see if I can't at least finish the voice over before I can't stand listening to myself
