Part of modern justice is punitive to discourage others and part of it is rehabilitation. I think the judge thought there was hope in rehabilitation if the perpetrator was made to understand the other side—especially for a crime that’s not extremely egregious

I get that. My point is either she's being paid or a company is getting free labor and both seem wrong.
