No problem! You may actually have better success with watercolor pencils. I forgot they exist, it’s been a while since I’ve done art traditionally, but they were my main tool for details like that. They layer better than typical colored pencil and you can use a bit of water to blend and fade them
The same characters from my first post. This is how Venn and Rouzic met. What’s a knife between two men? :) Accompanying lore page here: tinyurl.com/Lorepage#Destiny2#Gambit
I was thinking about getting the Drifter one too
Warlocks have the best helmets of the classes but I swear bungie uses them as an experiment sometimes
I have a (very NSFW) painting planned with two Awoken where the focus is their skin. I’ll be posting it on my page here when it’s done, though I don’t know WHEN that will be
Oh also (I guess 3/3 lmao) awoken still have red blood, we can tell by the cutscenes. So subsurface scattering should still have red influence, and so should shadows. I use soft reds, purples, blues, and greens for my boy because his skin is kind of a lavender-blue
I mostly work digitally but if I was doing it traditionally, I would be coloring only where there should be color. Digitally, I use a light greyscale base and either a soft light or overlay color layer, depending on how strong the color should be, and then a light dodge layer just for the glow (1/2)
Bungie won’t give us crimson days so I decided to give us crimson days. My boy Rouzic and his partner Venn snuggling in a tree on Nessus 🖤
