We honor Sept. 30th, a day of Truth & Reconciliation by closing our offices & encouraging staff to learn, reflect, & participate in Indigenous-led events. Across the country, everyone is encouraged to wear orange to honour the children who never returned home & the survivors of residential schools.

So lucky to have worked in the Big Land the last few weeks; the vast fantasy wilderness of Labrador is mind-bending in the best way - and so few ATV trails ❤️

Light grey caribou lichen and dense blueberry plants carpet a forest clearing (blueberries were crisp and delicious in mid-Sept)
Green spruce boreal forests with grey caribou lichen ground cover amid countless lakes and rivers, gray granite rocky ridges overlooking thousands of lakes
Green marshy spruce forest with twisty aimless streams and lakes, grey granite rocky outcrops
At Labrador Interpretation Centre in North West River, NL, a special display for a local archaeology site - wonderful multilingual pocketbook display that would travel very well

Image of a small bird and the text: Global Bird Rescue, Sept 23-29, 2024
During the peak of bird fall migration in North America, an estimated 4 billion birds will navigate built environments as they travel southward to their wintering grounds. Millions of birds will not arrive at their destination due to a fatal collision with a building. You can help ensure these birds survive their journey! Join us for Global Bird Rescue (GBR) from September 23 - 29, 2024, an annual event hosted by FLAP Canada designed to raise awareness about bird-building collisions and to inspire home and workplace bird-safe retrofits across the globe.
