Friendly local woodworker here. Walnut oil can be toxic to people and pets and while all properly finished and cured woods can be made food safe, we generally advise not to use black walnut for food preparation surfaces or anything that might be chewed on, like dog accessories or cribs.

I got arms, chest and back done, as well as two full courses of face, before the pandemic. The arm/chest/back hair has grown back in very slowly and is easily kept down with infrequent shaving. Face is the bitch, unfortunately.

Also what helped me a lot was taking advil on the way in to the appointment, so the painkiller effect was kicking in around the time the pain was happening.

So the face area, esp around the chin and upper lip, is the most stubborn hair that does not want to go away. Will most likely take a LOT of sessions. And the whole process hurts less if you are well hydrated and keep your skin moisturized! (1/2)
