Am I always in 100% agreement with him? Nope. But I realize that cities need to operate in the real world, with a federal government that drops in during election time and then leaves the scene, and a provincial government that wishes they were back in the 1860s without an urban centre to deal with.

24/7 operation of a handful of night buses is not super resource intensive. It wouldn't happen Oct 20! If we don't plan for it now it will never happen. Let's fix transit, and look to improving it.
Most of them are right, some of them are wrong and get fixed when it's identified as a problem. There are thousands of signs in the ROW right now like this, most are done properly. Keep call 311 and it will get fixed. I will say I am totally ok with increasing fines on contractors who do it wrong.
The subdivision process is pretty quick, I am not sure when they applied after they got development approval 2 years ago. Affordable housing at 20% is a fed target... HRM didn't set that.

The Premier was clear he will not consider it this term. It's off the table for now, I expect it will have to be addressed eventually, maybe after the next provincial election.
