My apartment building allows dogs, 99% of them are fine. One was not. The owners knew it had separation anxiety and still left it alone 8-10 hours a day, and it barked every 2-3 seconds the *entire* duration. It had a deep-ish bark that still pierced noise-cancelling headphones. I work from home.

Oh hey, this is just like my next door neighbor! I've never actually seen their dog bc they have never taken it for a walk. Coincidentally, they also acquired a rooster that fills the silent gaps between barks 😵‍💫

I also suspect they kept it in a kennel because the barking was a lot quieter at one end of my apartment, and that never changed. I also knew it was date night when the barking would go from 9 pm-??? am Friday/Saturday nights! Eventually I complained and I think they got doggy daycare. But oof.
