“Using ChatGPT to complete assignments is like bringing a forklift into the weight room; you will never improve your cognitive fitness that way.” I think this depends on how one use it and whether you have acquired key writing skills already.
Thoughtful and honest essay. There's a version of AI optimism that argues "we can keep the curriculum unchanged if we just find clever ways to integrate AI in courses,"—and I'm really unpersuaded by it. If this technology makes a difference, there are going to be courses that no longer make sense. +
