@enbrown.bsky.social Urgent! It looks like Swinâs account has been hacked! I think this is what they call stochastic terrorism! You have to let him know before packs of Swfties tear him apart!
SoâŚitâs been downhill ever since 1840?
Hard for me to care. I gave up on the Batman-without-Batman genre after the first season of Gotham.
Thanks. I have been watching a lot of police shooting videos lately (for reasons) and I have strong opinions about escalation and bad outcomes, but I'm not too aware of how the law treats the issue.
Thanks for explaining. But honestly, I thought that was already how it worked. Or maybe I'm confusing criminal and civil issues...
You can teach about the Bible, its philosophical influence, and the role of Christianity in history without making students read an actual Bible. Heck, I had 12 years of Christian schooling, and only a few of our religious classes required having a Bible handy. And we used a modern translation.
I'm confused...does this remove any "clean hands" requirement for the cops? Steal drugs from evidence, plant them on a guy, use that as leverage to suborn perjury against another guy to get a search warrant, kill someone while serving it, and all is fine if the actual shooting was in policy?
This debate isâŚmuch less of a shit show than I was expecting. Some actual policy discussion. Doesnât change my vote, but still interesting.
Economically, I have mixed feelings about this. Fighting for a larger share of the pie is fine -- they deserve whatever they can get -- but fighting against automation is keeping the pie from getting bigger. That's ultimately wasteful, and might not work out well if competitors can still automate.
