This debate is…much less of a shit show than I was expecting. Some actual policy discussion. Doesn’t change my vote, but still interesting.

I’d like to report a murder.

Economically, I have mixed feelings about this. Fighting for a larger share of the pie is fine -- they deserve whatever they can get -- but fighting against automation is keeping the pie from getting bigger. That's ultimately wasteful, and might not work out well if competitors can still automate.

I have thought about this video a lot over the years. It's a long thin blade straight to the heart of the justice system.

Milgram’s (controversial and flawed) experiment suggested that most people will follow orders to do terrible things if obeying a perceived authority. Other studies show 1-4% of people are sociopaths. If the latter gain authority over the former, it’s a recipe for a reign of terror.

As the saying goes, the worst part about the fight between Laura Loomer and Marjorie Taylor Greene is that someday it will end.
