Part of the issue here is that a lack of real enforcement for 30 years turned aggressively anti-competitive business models into the only reliably high-growth strategy rewarded by investors. A whole generation of executives identifies market-cornering “moats”with capitalism per se.
Agreed, and it's a global problem. Weak governments have created an economic environment where corporations can do anything with impunity. 🤦🏻♂️
Being “pro-business” vs. “pro-economy” often are incompatible goals and I have no idea how to get that messaging across in a political campaign. Openly bashing Ticketmaster is probably a good start since no one likes Ticketmaster.
years of antitrust policy focused on a narrow test of price impact rather than a broader view of anticompetitive use of monopoly/market dominance power have allowed the latter to flourish. (e.g. amzn and its sellers; fb with instagram & whatsapp; google with both sides of the online ad market)

Wall Street’s pathological and ruinous demand that companies show perpetual growth, as opposed to healthy sustainable profits, is only possible in a world where firms are allowed to lock up markets, eliminate competition and collect increasing extractive rents at increasing scale.
This needs to be a campaign ad, lots of people are pissed at the largest tech companies
