I can't say I have the most eloquent analysis of it- apparently many people take it to be a criticism of the so-called Northern European "warrior code"; for me, I had a more existential take on it and focused on Beowulf's fallibility in spite of his epicness

I also saw (not knowing of the aforementioned warrior code) all sides of the trials Beowulf faces, especially that of Grendel and his mother and the people affected by the warring between nations. I feel sympathy for everyone I think?
