I also saw (not knowing of the aforementioned warrior code) all sides of the trials Beowulf faces, especially that of Grendel and his mother and the people affected by the warring between nations. I feel sympathy for everyone I think?

Like, I did find myself rooting for Beowulf and the Geatish kingdom- but what of the Swedes and the Danes who they butchered and maimed? Were they not also people too? And what of Grendel and the other so-called hellspawn who were shunned by God and his kingdom?
