I love to share my experiences with the wolves because they are such wonderful and beautiful animals but I absolutely do not think that wolves should be pets. 3 out of the 4 wolves at the sanctuary were pets or from ‘collections’ which really pisses me off because animals are not Pokemon cards

I love the bits of your time with them you share & love that you always preface it with why they aren't pets. I won't pretend I don't get a bit of joy from seeing a wolf on a couch or whatever but at the end of the day animal welfare is far more important, & I can get that joy in less selfish ways

Same w wolfdogs, they're super cool and unique, and incredibly beautiful. But they're not built to be comfortable as wolves or dogs. V upsetting that people are still breeding them, the entitlement yikes.

dogs have lived with humans for approx 40,000 years. thats more than enough time to have literally co-evolved with humans. its just *entirely* unlike any other species on earth.

I think a lot of people get them not understanding that they're getting a completely different animal from a dog. I guess many people look upon wolves as majestic, wild kind of dogs that just wait for men to tame them or smth. I definitely had thoughts about getting wolfdogs as pets when...
