The new HIGHLY INVASIVE ad monitoring & selling framework is now live in Google Chrome & it's ON by default, so you MUST EXPLICITLY OPT OUT. We all know this is bad, but here's how to do it: Settings>Privacy & Security>Ad Privacy, disable all 3 options: Ad Topics, Site-suggested Ads, Ad Measurement
I believe this is the same thing that I disabled on my android phone a week or so ago.
Don't forget to also raise a ruckus about it in public when you do

My ad privacy settings selection appears to be different in Chrome on a native Google Chromebook. No idea why it is branded as a "Privacy Sandbox" I'll be sure to check settings again after the next Chrome update.
Does this apply to Chromium-based browsers as well?

And I *think* you have to opt out separately on your smartphone. (I am pretty sure that's what I had to do on my Android).
Easier way is to download and use Edge.
Or uninstall Chrome and use Brave/Firefox
