Despite being fully vaccinated, and very careful about avoiding crowds, etc., I tested positive for COVID this week. The Urgent Care provider was reluctant to prescribe Paxlovid, because I wasn't "immunocompromised". I had to insist before she would prescribe. Insanity.

Dr. Williams, I am a bit confused by your post. This study does not seem to be about repeated COVID infections and cumulative damage, rather it seems to be providing evidence for a mechanism driving inflammation and the possible implications for LC treatments. Am I misreading something?

Can I ask if these findings would only be applicable to those who have confirmed clotting issues? I've had a clear D-Dimer (though I know the test is not sensitive enough to detect the microclots many have found). Just trying to understand if this is a driver of inflammation more broadly
