Under federal election law, paying people to register to vote, including via entry to a lottery, is illegal. Under Pennsylvania law, any unregulated lottery is illegal. Under federal law, a PAC coordinating and campaigning with a candidate is illegal. I'm in the camp that says laws should matter.
As a UConn faculty member I will say this. We must publicize this as widely as possible, make the shame and embarrassment and outrage unbearable for our administration. The President is clearly feeling defensive about the overwhelmingly negative coverage. Keep it up!
Exactly. If Trump is criticized for something, they know it’s not true because it was just made up by Trump haters. Trump haters are anybody who criticizes him.
GOTV canvassers (door-knockers, text and phone bankers alike) can see if a voter who cast a ballot in past elections has voted yet in the current election. If you have access to early voting, one way cut down on the barrage of calls, etc. is to vote ASAP.
If you're at the airport and the pilot says he's going to crash the plane, you refuse to board. You don't say "well, he says lots of crazy things and the first officer will keep him from doing anything too dangerous." We can argue about the exact probabilities, but you wouldn't get on that plane.
