This is not just a US thing. In Europe, there is also a shift of young men being more conservative and right wing than young women.
Yes that’s true tho America has some particular macho man fetish tied into our historically revolutionary spirit. The far right is more interconnected globally than ever before they do tend to move in lockstep.
