Rush references, my mail server was "syrinx" and my main system was "cygnus", pretty sure the was a "bytor" and "snowdog" somewhere. Work hard servers named after Babylon 5 characters, "gkar" was a big one..

Elder sysadmins: share your ridiculous server naming schemes. I'll go first: Dune. Mailservers named after guild navigators, all-purpose utility server that changed identities all the time was "Scytale," 40 DHCP servers all named "Duncan Idaho," etc.
