I see I see, a bit segregated from the other creatures due to some of the difficulties some infrastructures could bring to light... or maybe social norms.

Then I could imagine social interaction and opinions may vary alot between the many creatures. And ofcourse the infrastructure, at least I think there is, based on the fact I see the bat have a ring on.
If the society they live in is built around them, absolutely. Should be no problem. But if they coexist with other creatures that works differently, taller/smaller/longer/shorter, have digits that works closer to hands or may not be built for flying then it makes it all more complicated. :o
It certainly gives a unique look but must be a nightmare in a world with other creatures that are built differently. Also they would take up a lot of space if they don't want to squeeze on em by keeping their arms tight to their body. ;3

I could imagine. But it comes down to what is needed of the character and the world. You can easily make a true to form design in a world where manipulation og objects is normal like in a humanoid society.. the bat would stick out. But would work in a more "feral" world void of complexity.
