Aha! I'm ahead of the game!
I finally learned to do Celsius to Fahrenheit conversions in my head. The trick was to ignore the formula usually taught (F=9/5*C + 32). Instead: Double the Celsius temp, subtract 10% and add 32. for 50c: Double 50 and get 100. Subtract 10 and add 32. Or even easier, think 100 + (32-10) = 122.
Twitter's just a bunch of rage bait and blatant misinformation, so that's what gets promoted... A festering hive of hatred, that place is.
I'm no postdoc (I'm an undergraduate), but this is incredibly interesting to me! I'd greatly appreciate any comments or resources!
