Almost conventional slingshot of space flight. One company uses more of a dentifrice though but they slingshot the rocket way up into the atmosphere to save fuel
There's an issue of Avengers where Thor uses gravitational slingshotting to get Mjolnir moving fast enough to kill a heavy-duty badguy (who thinks Thor has thrown his hammer away in surrender!)....
I'm fairly certain the UK Dennis the Menace uses a gravitational slingshot semi regularly for actual menace
