Like the gifts they returned was minor shit like "here's 20 quid to say thank you for helping with my problem" from random members of the public like the FM was their grandson or something. But it all got a polite letter saying "thanks, but we can't accept gifts"

thing about the Starmer "gift" shit is that I have a friend who worked as in the office of NI's first minister (OFMDFM) and they were always having to send gifts back or if it was a souvenir type gift from a visiting foreign dignitary it went into storage.
