Dear American Jews. If you speak or think about Israel: Think of your worst scenarios for a second Trump administration. That's more or less where Israel is now.

As @considerthefish.bsky.social wrote in an X thread, it's evident from the Atlantic piece on Israel sabotaging the hostage release, that Americans in general and US Jews particularly refuse to come to terms with the depravity of the Kahanist regime, and how entrenched it is. It doesn't sink in.

I think you might be conflating the direction with the result. Israel is on the path, but there’s much, much worse *down* that path. If you don’t think, e.g., an explicit green light on the West Bank from the Trump administration would be worse than the SQ, I don’t know what to tell you.

I think about this a lot. How we are headed in that direction and fast.

Technically we are at the 6th+ term where there is also no opposition - ie no democratic party, only Trump gop Vs Bush / Ragen type gop and fox news is the sanest news outlet
