I agree that giving Netanyahu what he wants does not make sense. At same time commentators believe the main reason Netanyahu supports Trump is that he believes Trump would pose no objections to the consolidation of authoritarian rule in Israel. So it's not directly war policy considerations.

As for Ben-Gvir and co, they certainly believe that under Trump they can push for mass ethnic cleansing of most Palestinians, and I think they're probably right. As terrible as this WH has been, I can't see a Harris WH allowing something similar.
