USA Today remains one of America's most widely read and accessed newspapers. They're entire business model is milquetoast accessibility and being EVERYWHERE. I find it fascinating that they're the ones running opinion pieces like this. www.usatoday.com/story/opinio...

Trump is 78 and barely coherent. Where's everyone who questioned Biden's age and fitness?

A 78-year-old Trump rants nonsensically, demonstrating an inability to hold a thought, and it's deemed 'a jumbled answer'? C'mon. The man is unfit.

They're like the little boy pointing out the emperor has no clothes while the grown ups insist he has...until they see it too. 🤞🤞🤞

Trump’s asinine behavior has been normalized by popular media to the point that it’s no longer a hindrance for him. When MSM talks about his candidacy as if he never incited an insurrection and plans to destroy our democracy they are doing their profession and the country a disservice! 🤬

Curious to know about their agreements with hotel chains to be the paper that gets placed at their door, or which news stations get played in the lobby.

In 2016 they urged voters not to elect Trump and in 2020 they endorsed Biden. Their editorial editor called it a "break-glass" moment.

Elect Joe Biden. Reject Donald Trump.

Our View: In 2016, we broke tradition in urging you not to vote for Trump. Now we're making our first presidential endorsement. We hope it's our last.

To be fair, it's an obvious thing to write about.

I mocked The USA Today when it came out for its oversimplifications and its use of dumbed-down infographics. I've since come to rely on it as the paper of record when citing news and opinion. It's perceived as nonpartisan and trustworthy in a time when those are in short supply.

I would have never expected to see Parker Malloy quoted in USA Today, doubt many who read it have any clue who she is.

The inoffensive, "We can put this in the breakfast area of a hotel and people won't get mad." newspaper.

I also think spewing that paragraph of verbal diarrhea on child care, where you could genuinely not get a coherent takeaway from it, was a watershed moment. It still won’t get to the level of the nonstop “BIDEN OLD BIDEN OLD BIDEN OLD“ coverage, but more people will pay attention.
