been working on my next newsletter, and it's one of the weirdest yet

I've had this exact conversation before where the analytics folks won't give up Tableau and management keeps complaining they already pay for Microsoft so why can't this all go on PowerBI

This is so funny because I need to train our sales people to actually use Power BI.

Ed, it's completely unknown outside of the analytics industry I think, but fucking ADOBE has an analytics suite that's actually quite popular but only at massive enterprises ruled by bureaucracy, and I bet you can already imagine how and why

Microsoft saw the Google antitrust case and was like "hold literally all of the beer ever made"

lol. Wait until you hear about MSFT Teams.

From my hear-say about it, never having used it, I thought PowerBI could automate Human-Interface-Device actions (like clicking through excel to change the format of a file) and is the non-programmer friendly version of a script. Is it really just a Pivot-Table-like software? 🤔

I'm upset that microsoft keeps fucking up my interfaces. Get that fucking share button out of Excel. Who the fuck shares spreadsheets?

I've been saying this for years. Most new tools in M365 don't need to be good; they need to solve maybe 50% of what you need because you already paid for them. No one will walk away from Word, Exchange, Excel, or SharePoint to get a better task management system or dashboard tool.

The company I work at recently switched from Tableau to PowerBI and I absolutely hate it. It’s worse in so many ways but the most annoying is that there’s no Mac app! I have to use Windows to make dashboards.

This almost word for word applies to MS Teams as well. It's built on top of SharePoint architecture so IT hates it but they have been forced to use it because of everything you said in last sentence.
