I think what drives me crazy is that their whole point is to explain that we (as in western culture as a whole, not us in particular) need to think of Palestinians as humans, not proto-terrorists or speedbumps, and then they turn around and tar millions of Israelis based on a few 19th century quotes

there's a fair share of fetishization of Palestinians and their suffering along with demonization of Israelis - neither are human, we are chess pieces.
