Alito would make the same statement if it advanced his feels (see Dobbs).

Maternal death rates are 62% higher in states that ban or restrict abortion, and babies born in banned states were 30% more likely to die in their first month of life. (Those are pre-Dobbs stats. I imagine those numbers are higher now because of clinic closures and healthcare staff leaving)

Walz named 3 specific women who were harmed or killed by Dobbs, including Amber Thurman. Vance “knew a girl once”. That was a pretty striking difference to me.

and later "How can you talk about earning back the trust of the voters after Dobbs? Sometimes in life you learn that you have to live with the consequences of your decisions. A principle you decide to apply quite selectively."

Listen, I really need you all to read Undue Burden by Shefali Luthra. It is not fun but it is necessary and it paints the whole picture of recent (pre Dobbs-post Dobbs) abortion access in America. a.co/d/fWvhBTa

I wish Walz would have said “if ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, because that’s what the whole Dobbs decision boils down to: Republicans trying to fix a problem that did not exist.

the overwhelming evidence since dobbs has been surprise and shock at how much Americans care about protecting abortion, why are democrats still unwilling to give straightforward clear answers about this 9th month bullshit

JD Vance is a good presenter, much better than his boss. Too bad he can't get past the whole 'Creepy Televangelist ' vibe. He reminds me of J.R. "Bob" Dobbs.
