Happy to add the very excellent Bump in the Dark to my collection! @jexjthomas.bsky.social#ttrpg#fitd#bumpinthedark#doweusehashtagshere
The first is Tribes in the Dark (FitD reboot of the Tribe 8 RPG, hopefully coming to a crowdfunding campaign soon). The other is The Last Caravan.
I dunno what it is about the FITD Campaigns I’ve ran (Scum & Villainy, Beam Saber) but they stick in my brain and I constantly think about those games more than any other
The Carved from Brindlewood system revolutionised mysteries in RPGs for me, the way FitD did with heists. The Between is a joy to run and play, with surprises even for the GM, beautiful problem-solving and messy drama for players. It’s also on BackerKit right now: www.backerkit.com/c/projects/t...
Yeah, I get it. Both the anti-colonialist steampunk/western PbTA/FitD hack thing I've been working on and the short "two fiendish lawyers courtroom drama decided over a sushi and martinis lunch" game have stalled out for me and work stress has not let me get them out of the mud yet. Maybe soon.
2) I have an infrequently updated blog: aggregatecognizance.com#Tribe8rpgbit.ly/3J2YfMZ#industrial#ambient#experimental music fan. Also here is a disheveled labradoodle.
1. Blades in the Dark - Grimy ghost punk Peaky Blinders is an immaculate vibe for me and FitD games scratch my crunchier games itch but stays within the PbtA vibe I tend to prefer these days.
I haven't played any FitD, but I intend to—what don't you like about it?
Ah, yes, I am re-learning FitD does not appeal to me.
