For my first #ThingThursday , I'd love to share this piece knit by my grandma! It was her everyday wear when I was a small child and this year I found it in her closet and asked about it. She proudly told me how she made it herself, and her joy as I asked if I could have it won't ever be forgotten🥰

I have achieved pocketses! I've been calling this a cardi, which is sorta is. Pattern is https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-traveler-shell

A sort of short-sleeved handknitted cardigan. The "sleeves" are formed like a drop-shoulder sweater, with ribbed hems. The yarn is a variegated blue/green/dark blue laceweight yarn combined with a very dark grey mohair yarn. The fabric is a little sheer. There are deep pockets at the bottom.
