I personally love their first two albums more than the rest of their discography because of the lo-fi punk-ier sound but I also love the sound that comes out of Mesopotamia, maybe because of Byrne's influence. It's definitely an experimental step for them but I'd have loved to hear more.

such an underrated project album that just ended up being an ep in the end due to conflicts between all parties. I can only imagine what direction the b-52s would've taken if David Byrne produced more of their music or if they ended up finishing this album.
