There are some potentially dangerous complications of miscarriage but as long as people are given ER precautions for these I don’t see why the risk would be prohibitive

Something I don’t get: patients are told not to have unprotected sex for two weeks prior to getting the nexplanon implant since it can cause miscarriage. But the only people getting the nexplanon are those who don’t want to be pregnant. So why can’t they just be informed & consented on this risk?

If the GOP win in November they will ban abortion nationwide and launch a system to monitor menstrual cycles in order to investigate and prosecute miscarriage. Please🌊 #voteblue

The fact that they're also criminalizing things like miscarriage and offering bounties means they've turned the state into a terror-machine with prosecutorial discretion to target particular women - for example, those that might not 'know their place' in the view of anyone with a score to settle

Miscarriage (mis)management is a longstanding issue in Catholic hospitals across the country. It’s the result of the ERDs, not TX law. See: Freedman, “When There’s a Heartbeat” (2008) See also: the demise of Catholic Healthcare West and the rise of Dignity Health (now part of CommonSpirit Health)
