Behind a paywall, but well worth a look if you're a member of the Navy Records Society (or thinking about membership if you're interested in naval records - in this case of the RN in the early 1800s, but they've got material from 1204 through to post-WW2). #NavalHistory

Done! Wrote the history of #CoastalHistory#NavalHistory#MaritimeHistory entails, but now it's time to offer another watery approach that can inform naval history if they choose. We can't wait to hear their ideas of how it can be applied!

Title slide for a PowerPoint slide pack, with 'Naval, Maritime and Coastal History Research Skills (2024-25) and Week 4: The Advent of Coastal History labeled. It has a photo of a Cornish cove at Land's End, showing some stone buildings and boats pulled up from the sea. The cover is surrounded by cliffs.

It's rare that you come across a photo of an actual SBS operation, and even rarer that it (apparently!) includes an American general ... 👀 #NavalHistory
