I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but the idea of mixing the concepts of Darkseid and the Dark Side of the Force, plus the Anti-Life Equation, Parademons fighting Stormtroopers — ahhhh I just start geeking out at all the interaction ideas.

Interior pages for Super Powers #6 (1985) Great Jack Kirby art in this very kid friendly version of DC's greatest heroes

Awesome two page splash with credits

Justice League takes on Darkseids army
Green Arrow takes on Parademons
Darkseid smashes the heroes, laughing
All the heroes in cages! They only win because Desaad betrays his boss

It's great. It opens with Orion having proclaimed he's killed Darkseid and asks if there's anybody to challenge him and the next is a big two-page spread of an army of Parademons.

Yup! He redesigned the villains he initially created (Mantis, Kalibak, Parademons, Steppenwolf, and I guess Dessad and Darkseid) for the toy line. He plotted the first mini-series, but drew the final issue. Drew the followup mini--only time he drew most of the main DC heroes.

Justice League #2 (2011) by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee. In their first meeting of the New 52, Superman mistakingly believes Batman, Green Lantern and the Flash are connected with the parademons plaguing his city. Batman “wins” by politely asking Superman to calm down and listen to them.
