I still call us potheads instead of stoners. I come by it honestly - my dad was a hardcore hippie in the 70s and always called it pot. My stepdad was born in 1945 and called it reefer. I missed out completely on the “grass” generation.

Mid 70's- LI. Friends and I went to a midnight double feature- Reefer Madness/Neil Young concert. In those days you could still smoke in the theater. Even if not smoking pot yourself, you could get high from everyone else smoking. Air was thick with it. I remember whole theater laughing non-stop.
Funny that you mentioned Reefer Madness. Just watched it a couple of nights ago and it was totally bonkers circa 1936.
