Thought thread? About, cringe and shame and, stuff. It's been on my mind a lot lately, because every time it comes up, I just see how so much of me is... held back. Creatively, socially, personally, things I want to say and do and be. It's like I have to keep this "mature adult" facade all the time.

It's weird to me when people say it's totally normal to be stressed to the point of emotional breakdown about the news or theoretical harms that haven't actually happened then pivot to shame people for not "rising above" actual catastrophes that are currently happening to them right now

it doesn't help that there's some weird mindset to shame and tell people they're awful, the worst ever, if they don't do it once lol but yeah it's become weirdly ableist towards disabled ppl who like, sometimes, cannot do it at the drop of a hat

i think it's a nice, friendly addition but becomes kinda hostile and weirdly ableist if you're like pressuring ppl to do it and then shame and scream at them when they don't

Not much time, it’s a shame as I really love knitting and used to do it every day, but being self employed tends to take up all your time, and there’s always a long list of things that need doing! I did manage to start a hat in Aglow DK while I was vending at a yarn show last month though!

And Hill's private sexual life was her own business. But you know how Republicans love to shame anything to do with sex. Unless it's them impregnating their mistresses, or hanging out in airport bathrooms, or chillin' with a twink in a hotel while smoking meth. Only the best and brightest.
