OH. MY. GOD. This week, #HATM is not for the weak. So excited! Zombieland is so damn good! Zombies, Twinkies, and Woody Harrelson are my favorite combo. Tomorrow’s pod will be epic, no doubt - then I’ll see y’all Sunday. It’s probably time I brushed up on my zombie survival skills!
I remember these. Never tried them because I've never been a big fan of Twinkies. (I always thought the Shrek food tie-ins were gross anyway.)
Shrek Twinkies (2004, 2010): A promotional tie-in for both "Shrek 2" and "Shrek Forever After", these snack cakes were classic Twinkies--golden spongecake with vanilla creme--except the creme was now "ogre green." You know...for Shrek.

Heidi Krug got to be the Creature from the Black Lagoon in this Spooky Season piece from a few years ago, as that's one of her all-time favorite classic monster movies! The Creature & and its notorious love of Twinkies extends to the performer inhabiting the role for this loving homage. ;)
Also 5. Feels like they're doing it on purpose. It's no longer enough for the purple ones on Connections to be "They're all different flavors* of Chicken-fried Twinkies". * Deliberate. Don't judge me.
