With the strong SE winds yesterday I decided to see if any seabirds had been blown up to the Humber Bridge, first bird I saw was this Long tailed Skua. I hadnโt even got my scope out of the car so bins views and had to take pics and ID from those in the evening. #UKBirding#RareBirdsUK

A lovely leucistic Barnacle Goose at Aberlady today. Before that, nothing in the bushes but 15 Little Gull and 2 Sooty Shear at Gullane Pt and 5 Sooty at Whitesands. A few flocks of Barnies south off the coast and first of season Goldeneye and Purple Sand. #birdinglothian#ukbirding
Another enjoyable seawatch yesterday with a juv Long-tailed Skua very close in, 3 Balearic Shears, 4 juv Black Terns, a Black-necked Grebe just offshore, a 1st winter Caspian Gull, 2 Arctic Skuas, 2 juv Kitts, 3 Red-throated Divers and a few Sandwich Terns and Med Gulls. ##kentbirding#ukbirding
