Normandy Day 5: Another relaxing day in BĂ©nouville today. A little ride around doing a food shop & visit to the excellent Pegasus Bridge Memorial museum. Itâs been a great week away. đ A short ride up to Ouistreham & the early ferry back to Portsmouth tomorrow.
Normandy Day 4: Bayeux to BĂ©nouville via Gold Beach, Arromanches, the British Normandy Memorial, Juno Beach, Sword Beach & Pegasus Bridge. A really nice ride in lovely weather but plenty of thoughts of what once was and how lucky we are.

Remembering Rev George Parry (1915-1944), curate at Leytonstone, St John 1938-1940. Later Padre with 7th Parachute Battalion, he parachuted into Normandy during D-Day operations. He died whilst unarmed & defending wounded men from enemy attack on a Regimental Aid Post at Benouville #OTD 6 Jun 1944.
